Specifying & Installing a New Water Supply
Having worked with us on some alterations within the Nuffield Factory site, Lush cosmetics approached us when they wanted to set up a new site in Hamworthy in Poole to see if we could upgrade the existing 25mm incoming main to provide the required volume of water to the proposed manufacturing facility.
We undertook an audit of the proposed equipment and it’s estimated water consumption and specified a 90mm MDPE main that would have to stretch 138m down the highway to the nearby Wessex Water main in Blandford Road.
The pipe was installed using an open cut trench. As it was through designated highway we managed the road opening license applications and prepared the traffic management plan.
Prior to excavation our surveyors marked out the route and traced all the services along the proposed route.
The works were completed on time and on budget, with no disruption to services and minimal inconvenience to other premises on the route.
